Join Jenna from rare Charitable Research Reserve as she takes you through how to use the free app iNaturalist for your phone, tablet or desktop computer.
iNaturalist is a social network that allows you to connect with nature. Join over 3 million nature enthusiasts, citizen scientists, and biologists that are using the app to share observations of biodiversity across the globe. iNaturalist is a joint initiative of the California Academy of Sciences and the National Geographic Society.
In this virtual workshop with Jenna Quinn from rare Charitable Research Reserve, learn how to get started with iNaturalist including starting an account, joining a project, making observations, and identifying species you found. It’s easier than you think and Jenna will show you how.
This program is delivered through Zoom. You only need to register once per viewing device.
This program is presented in connection with the City Nature Challenge 2021. Visit the City Nature Challenge website to find out how you can help us identify plant, animal, and bug species in Waterloo Region.
