Discover the radical creative freedom of zines! In this hands-on workshop, artist, writer, and zine maker Ellie Anglin of the Zinetopia collective will introduce you to the basics of zine history, as you make your own small, self-published art book.
Explore the mini zine structure, folding, collage, drawing, writing, and sequencing, and come away with the makings of your first zine. No previous art or publishing experience is necessary—just bring your ideas and curiosity. Zines are a playful, accessible way to share stories, art, ideas, and perspectives outside traditional publishing. Whether you’re completely new to zines or already a fan, this workshop will give you the opportunity to start making and sharing your own DIY publications.
