Children's Program RoomShare your ideas, help shape library programs and services, and earn volunteer hours while connecting with other local youth.
Have your say in what your library offers by joining the Youth Advisory Committee. Members help shape programs, services, collections, and spaces for young people. The committee meets for one hour each month during the school year to share ideas, provide feedback, plan activities, and help the library better serve local youth.
Members may:
- Suggest new programs
- Recommend books and other materials
- Test new ideas
- Help plan youth events
- Provide feedback on library spaces and services
- Create promotional content
- Brainstorm ways to make the library more welcoming for teens and tweens
Volunteer hours are available for participating members. To have your hours recorded, you must apply to become a library volunteer before participating.

Queen's Square
Located in the heart of downtown Galt, Queen’s Square features the largest public library collection in the city as well as the main gallery and studio space for the Cambridge Art Galleries. After exploring the Gallery, relax with a book in the multiple study and reading areas, discover the large children’s department, or take in a special musical performance on the grand piano.
