Lessons to be learned.
Many bird species have learned to adapt to an urban existence, some with greater success than others – some actually thrive! They are part of an environment that has been anthropogenically modified, forming unique ecosystems, where different organisms in the web of life operate synergistically and create vibrant natural communities. Explore this wonderful world that is all around you. You may be surprised!
About the event speaker
David Gasgoigne has been involved with nature since the age of eight and it occupies his daily activities in one form or another. On most days you will find David in the field, always learning something new.
David is a two-time Past President of Waterloo Region Nature, recipient of the 1990 ACRA Award from the Town of Markham for Outstanding Civic Contribution, and the 2018 Waterloo Region Nature Conservation Award. Nothing gives David more pleasure than to share his knowledge with others and to fire up their enthusiasm for nature.
