A practical introduction to artificial intelligence that explains what AI is, how it's already part of everyday life, and what its benefits and limitations are. Participants will leave with a better understanding of today's AI tools and greater confidence using them thoughtfully.
About the speaker
Amanda Tkaczyk is an award-winning educator who is passionate about co-designing meaningful experiences. In addition to nearly a decade of professional IT experience, Amanda is a Certified Information Privacy Professional - Canada and completed her Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence in 2021.

As part of our Connections 50+ suite of programming, this older adult-focused program features a variety of entertaining activities such as local musicians, guest speakers, art activities, and much more.

About the branch
Nestled in historic Hespeler village, the Hespeler Library is a fusion of the old and the new. This 100-year-old Carnegie library is encased in a modern glass structure and boasts a comfortable reading area with a fireplace as well as a spacious and welcoming children’s area. The environmentally responsible building features recycled white oak floors and a ceramic treatment on the glass to reduce sunlight intensity.
