Retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces, Paul McMenemy, shares his stories surrounding his involvement in the Canadian Military.
Paul McMenemy recounts his story as a 17-year-old high school student joining the Canadian Military, to serving as a Paratrooper in the Special Service force, to his role as a UN peacekeeper. Paul will also talk about the effects of overseas duty and what Veterans Affairs does to help its members who served and currently serve in the military.
About the Presenter
Paul is a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces where he served for 6 years. As part of his duties, he served in Cypress, Germany, Norway, and in the USA. He left the Canadian Armed Forces in 1983 at the final rank of Corporal. His family has a long history of service, with 6 members of his family who are retired or currently in the military.
