About the Speaker:
With over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, Cathy-Ann brings a unique personal perspective in providing quality care and training to families, parents, and children from various multicultural backgrounds. As a black immigrant, parenting in the Canadian context, her lived experience has become a road map to help guide parents of like kind. Also, as a Family Support Coach and Behavior Therapist who is certified in attachment frameworks of Circle of Security and Triple P, Cathy-Ann brings the developmental lens of Early Childhood Education to help parents connect behaviours to need.
Cathy-Ann's focus is on supporting parents in implementing social and emotional management strategies, building positive parent-child relationships, helping parents advocate for their children's needs, and accessing community resources. Cathy-Ann has worked individually with families and facilitates parent workshops.
In-person registration takes place at 12:00 pm.
