Gingerbread House Contest

Calling all gingerbread engineers!

Do you love gingerbread? Have you built your very own gingerbread house? Now is your chance to get creative! Bakers and gingerbread designers of all ages are invited to submit a photo of your tasty masterpiece for a chance to win a prize. Happy building!

Photo submissions can be emailed to cminfo@ideaexchange.org. Submissions will be judged in the following categories: Child (8 and under), Youth (9-12), Teen (13-18), Adult (19+).

Please include your age and phone number in your submission. All building components must be edible.

Gingerbread House Contest for all ages sponsored by Idea Exchange.

Contest begins on November 29, 2021 and ends on December 15, 2021. 

No purchase necessary to enter or win. Only an email address is required to submit entries. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by the official rules and the decisions of Idea Exchange. Void where prohibited by law. 

Just as our in-person programming, in our programs online we are committed to creating and maintaining a safe, positive and quality environment where we treat each other with respect and courtesy.

Contest is open to residents of the Region of Waterloo. Gingerbread House Contest is open to applicants of all ages. Only one submission per applicant allowed. Submissions will be judged in the following categories:

• Child (8 and under)
• Youth (9-12)
• Teen (13-18)
• Adult (19+)

Entries will be evaluated based on Overall Appearance, Originality, and Use of Food Design. The winner will be contacted by email or phone and will have one week to respond. If no response is received within one week, another winner will be chosen. Staff are not responsible for prize fulfillment nor for any technical failures.
