Paris, the 1920's. Impresario Ida Rubinstein chooses Maurice Ravel to compose the music for her next ballet. She wants something bold, something sensual. Searching for inspiration, Ravel begins reliving memories, facing his old loves and failures, and in doing so creating his masterpiece: the Bolero.
