A celebration of West Indies culture and Black History Month - get ready to move!
Soca dancing is a high-energy dance style that blends African and Caribbean body movement. Registered participants will begin by making a Soca scarf and learn the dance with anyone who wants to participate.
At 3:00 pm everyone is invited to dance in a Soca parade through Queen's Square.
About the Presenter
Gwynn Smith, aka Guyanese Fit Chick, is a Registered Practical Nurse and fitness instructor with over 33 years of experience, leading various classes through her initiative, GWAN MOVE. With certifications from Canadian Fitness Education Service and a diverse background influenced by her Guyanese and Trinidadian heritage, she specializes in disciplines like, Soca fitness, step aerobics, indoor cycling, and cardio boxing.
