A celebration of West Indies culture, and Black History Month and get ready to move!
Soca dancing is a high-energy dance style that blends African and Caribbean body movement. Registered participants will begin by making a Soca scarf and learn the dance with anyone who wants to participate. The program ends with a Soca parade through Queen's Square.
About the Presenter
Gwynn Smith, aka Guyanese Fit Chick, is a Registered Practical Nurse and fitness instructor with over 33 years of experience, leading various classes through her initiative, GWAN MOVE. With certifications from Canadian Fitness Education Service and a diverse background influenced by her Guyanese and Trinidadian heritage, she specializes in disciplines like, Soca fitness, step aerobics, indoor cycling, and cardio boxing.

The Queen's Square location is a public library and art gallery. This location features a grand piano for music performances, multiple study and reading areas, and a large children’s department.
