Gather with community under the winter moon to enjoy traditional Haudenosaunee stories that have been shared for generations during the storytelling season.
For the Haudenosaunee - First Peoples of the Grand River and the Haldimand Tract, 1784 - winter is the traditional season for storytelling. It is a time when families gathered to listen to stories, legends, and foundational teachings.
Passed from generation to generation, these stories carry teachings about values, relationships, and responsibility, preserving cultural knowledge since time immemorial.
Join K. Fran Davis, Heyotę'dok, for a session of traditional Haudenosaunee storytelling. Through these stories, families are invited to listen, learn, reflect, and celebrate winter together in the community we all call home.
