Learn how to ask the tough questions and collect family history to preserve the past for the future.
Stories of our friends and families are all around us, but our memories fade — or disappear in a heartbeat when someone dies.
Now is the best time to save our stories — and artificial intelligence tools can help you prepare for an interview and organize the information. Collecting your family’s oral history is a chance to connect or reconnect with your parents, grandparents, or siblings. Our brains are wired for storytelling. It’s what makes us human and makes for great conversations.
If you’ve got a smartphone, you’re ready to start interviewing. Kevin will offer tips to get started asking family and friends asking for an interview, how to ask questions so they share compelling information, and how you might save and share the stories you collect.
You will also learn about resources available online and through your library to help empower your curiosity, shape your goals, and save treasured family memories for future generations.
