Each week we will read a well-loved fairy tale and then dive into a STEAM theme corresponding activity.
Week One – Rapunzel: We all know how strong Rapunzel’s hair is… but maybe she is tired of having people climb up and down her braid. Let’s put our heads together and come up with another option for her to get out of that tower.
Week Two – The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf: Hay, sticks, and bricks. Let’s build some houses and see if our designs will keep out the Big Bad Wolf.
Week Three – Goldilocks and The Three Bears: Poor little Goldilocks is just looking for a comfy spot. Let’s see if we can build a good strong bed that will feel “just right”.
Week Four – Cinderella: The shoe fits! So now what? The newlyweds need a castle of course. Let’s get building with shapes and see what we can create.
Week Five – Jack and The Beanstalk: Jack made it up the beanstalk to the giant’s castle but what if he couldn’t climb back down? We are going to design a parachute for Jack just in case.
Week Six – The Three Billy Goats Gruff: The three little goats are just trying to get across the bridge without bothering the grumpy old troll. Why don’t we construct them a new bridge.
Registration begins on Monday, January 9 at 10:00 am.
