About the Presenter
Kim Cusimano, Age Friendly Coordinator, City of Cambridge, has been working alongside and in support of older adults for more than 25 years in community, retirement, and long term care. She embraces the opportunity to learn from older adults, to share information and to action initiatives in support of an age friendly communities. Kim is an Education Facilitator with the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging, Parks and Recreation Ontario Principles of Healthy Aging and a trainer and member of the Elder Abuse Prevention Council. Kim recently completed her term with The Elliott Community Board of Trustees and was Chair of the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington. Currently, she is the City of Cambridge’s Age Friendly Coordinator. Kim is focused on the development, implementation, and evaluation of an Age Friendly Community Plan and action areas including ageism, intergenerational connections and social prescribing.
