This presentation, compiled by the Waterloo Wellington Self-Management Program, provides a comprehensive overview of sleep and its importance for your overall health and well-being. It covers the basics of sleep, including an overview of the circadian rhythm, sleep drive, and the stages of the sleep that happen through the night. We'll also learn about common sleep disruptors and discuss practical tips to help you achieve a better night’s sleep.
About the Speaker
Danielle Hughes, RRT, is the program coordinator for the Waterloo Wellington Self-Management Program. With a background in sleep, respiratory care, and health promotion, Danielle is passionate about promoting self-management skills for health and helping others live a well-balanced life. She's also a certified 200-hour yoga teacher and actively teaches classes part time in the Cambridge area.
