Live musical adaptation of The Nutcracker.
One Christmas Eve, a little girl named Clara is given a gift of a Nutcracker doll by her Uncle Drosslmeyer. This German fairy tale was adapted into a ballet by Russian composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky in collaboration with choreographer Marius Petipa. We’ll be performing several scenes from the ballet (arr. Stepan Esipoff), including Miniature Overture, March, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Russian Dance (Trepak), Arabian “Coffee Dance” Chinese “Tea Dance”, Dance of the Reed-Flutes, and Waltz of the Flowers.
