Why are so many people are now being diagnosed with ADHD?
Join Porchlight Counselling and Addiction Services for another event in our Conversation for Community Care series, this time on the experiences of late diagnosed ADHD women. In a world where the news is asking, "why are so many people are now being diagnosed with ADHD?", finding the right resources can be a challenge for late diagnosed ADHD women. The stigma they face is very real, and there is very little support in our public medical system.
This panel will feature speakers from organizations who provide services and resources for later diagnosed ADHD individuals, as well as individuals who have the lived experience of learning that they have ADHD as an adult. Together, they will discuss what ADHD looks like into adulthood, what support is available in our community, and how to figure out your next steps if you aren't sure where to start. This event is free but attendees are encouraged to register in advance.
