Join us as we honour and remember the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities.
On Orange Shirt Day, Idea Exchange unites with members of the community, the KW Urban Native Wigwam Project, Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre, and Qualia Counselling Services and the City of Cambridge for an evening of song, drumming, speakers and 2:15 candle lit (orange glow sticks available) moment of silence. Please join us on the banks of the Grand River in the Sculpture Garden at the Pedestrian Bridge.
Standing in solidarity with communities across Canada, we encourage you to WEAR ORANGE to honour the survivors of residential schools and for those who never made it home.
Bring your drum and a blanket or chair, event will run approximately 2hrs.
This is a family event, supports will be available for anyone who needs them.
