Soheila Esfahani’s newest body of work, Been T[here] explores the in-between space of combined cultural identities. Inspired by souvenirs and seeing them as a form of ‘portable and collectable culture,’ Esfahani uses stereotypical Western (Canadian) and Eastern (Iranian) cultural motifs to navigate this in-between space.
