Grades 4-6
Monday, August 15
9:00am - 10:00am
Engineering and earthquakes
How do engineers design a building to withstand an earthquake? Participants will learn all about seismic waves and the engineering design cycle as they attempt to build a structure stable enough to withstand an earthquake. Participants will then test their structures on their very own ‘seismic shaker’.
You may pick up your kit one week ahead of the program at the Old Post Office branch.
