People of all ages and identities are invited to join us on zoom for a series of small group discussions designed to get you thinking and get your voice heard!
Are you passionate about gender equality, racial equity and social justice? Discussions will be led by remarkable young womxn and non-binary folx from our community that are doing incredible things to make their community better. You will leave feeling inspired and with fresh ideas for action.
This event is offered in partnership with Kinbridge Community Association and is part of our Celebration of Women programs happening throughout October.
Meet our Special Guests:
Neva Ezzat is a 24-year-old Egyptian Canadian who is a radical advocate for Feminism and Diversity. She is currently the Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator for Kinbridge by day and an Abstract artist and expressionist by night! Neva has been running programs and creating art centered around the mindfulness and wellbeing of female-identifying youth for three years now and have currently expanded her work to all ages and genders. Her work is always centered around long-term growth, representation, liberation, and social justice.
Charlotte Turner is a filmmaker, writer, and volunteer. Her films have played at local film festivals, she is a published author, and she received an Ontario Volunteer Service Award. She enjoys pop culture, making zines, and skateboarding.
Fatima Awan is currently a student at University of Waterloo, studying Political Science, Legal Studies and Public Policy. She hopes to become a lawyer and have her own not-for-profit organization that helps youth. Her interests include: youth activism, leadership, volunteering, providing trainings on equity, diversity and inclusivity. In her free time, you can see her reading, hiking or taking naps.
Tanishi Naik is currently a university student who enjoys participating in a variety of extracurriculars ranging from tech to sustainability to sociolegal initiatives. When she’s not studying, you can find Tanishi volunteering, reading, or drinking coffee.
