An exhibition that visually marks an important turning point in the Second World War.
Visit the second floor of the Hespeler location to view the exhibition provided to the library by Honouring Bravery. Honouring Bravery provides materials and exhibitions that share authentic stories of diverse Canadian heroes. Building off the success of the Je Me Souviens program in Quebec, Honouring Bravery was launched in 2024, with the aim of bringing Canada Company’s Military History Learning Programs to a national audience.
The Normandy landings marked an important turning point in the Second World War. The Canadian military played a significant role in both the success of the landings and the subsequent fighting in the west European theatre of war. Uncover the personal stories of Canadians who participated in D-Day and helped liberate France from the German occupation.
On display from Saturday, November 8 to Tuesday, November 11.
