About Welcoming Week
Welcoming Week is an annual opportunity to recognize and celebrate the people, places, and values that help everyone feel welcome and give them a sense of belonging in their local community. This year’s Welcoming Week takes place from September 13 to September 22. Waterloo Region’s Welcoming Week celebrations include community picnics, film screenings, tours, community art projects, information nights, and Canadian Citizenship Ceremonies. The week's goal is to build stronger neighbourhoods and kinder communities through welcoming acts.

Located in the heart of downtown Galt, Queen’s Square features the largest public library collection in the city as well as the main gallery and studio space for the Cambridge Art Galleries. Cambridge Public Library supports and inspires its community to explore reading, the arts, innovation, and lifelong learning across five locations and online.
