This program invites participants to reflect on their personal relationship with water through hands-on making of their own hanging reflective mobile and experimentation with projected video.
This workshop begins with Laurie Minor sharing their experiences as a Water Walker and the importance of water. Following Laurie's talk, Katherine will discuss the themes and process of their Water As A Gift. Participants are then invited to explore the surrounding river landscape and document their personal perspectives through photo and video before returning to the gallery to play with materials and techniques used in the artist's work to create a reflective hanging mobile of their own.
Materials suggested: a device capable of taking digital photographs and video (phone, tablet, or digital camera).
Please dress appropriately for November weather.
This workshop is offered in connection with the exhibition, Journey With Our Kin. For other artist-led programs make sure to check out the exhibition page.
