Explore the beautiful Thompson Tract and Ancient Woods with rare staff recording springtime nature sightings.
The City Nature Challenge is an international effort for people to find and document plants and wildlife in cities across the globe. Organizations across Waterloo Region have partnered to get our community outside and noticing the natural beauty around us. Let’s show the world the unique species that live right here in Waterloo Region!
Taking part is easy! Find and photograph wildlife across the region from April 29 to May2. Share your observations on iNaturalist and help identify what was collectively observed. Participate alone, and/or join a CNC Meet Up event to make observations together.
CNC Meet Ups are 90 minutes events happening in different nature spaces across Waterloo Region. As a group, you will explore and make nature observations with the help of a guide.
This is a registered event.
The City Nature Challenge is organized on a global scale by the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and the California Academy of Sciences.
