Substance use deaths have a huge impact in our community.
From the family and friends who are grieving to the way these deaths are viewed, often from a stigmatizing lens, there are impacts on us all. Unfortunately, stigma and prejudice can go hand-in-hand with the grief that stems from substance use deaths. This can lead to feelings of guilt, shame, and isolation for those who are grieving. Join us for an education session to learn more about the impact of substance use death from a personal and community perspective where supportive first-person language will be used, and ideas for support offered for everyone.
