This virtual program, designed by FLAP Canada, encourages youth to appreciate the diversity of birds in their own neighbourhoods.
You will learn to spot birds in our area, their value in our local ecosystems and be engaged in protecting vulnerable species through bird-safe buildings. Kids will also learn about how and why birds migrate. Afterwards you can go out and explore birds in your backyard or neighbourhood.
To attend, please register in advance or go to Idea Exchange’s Facebook page to watch the video live at the scheduled time.
This program is presented in connection with the City Nature Challenge 2021. Visit the City Nature Challenge website to find out how you can help us identify plant, animal, and bug species in Waterloo Region.
