“There are no strangers here. Only friends you haven’t met yet.” ~ Yeats

Stop by the Cambridge Public Library (formerly Idea Exchange) tent to help us create a Tree of Welcome, enjoy some crafts and big games - and meet some of your neighbours!

About Welcoming Week

Welcoming Week is an annual opportunity to recognize and celebrate the people, places, and values that help everyone feel welcome and give them a sense of belonging in their local community. This year’s Welcoming Week takes place from September 13 to September 22. Waterloo Region’s Welcoming Week celebrations include community picnics, film screenings, tours, community art projects, information nights, and Canadian Citizenship Ceremonies. The week's goal is to build stronger neighbourhoods and kinder communities through welcoming acts.
